How to enter problems
- Equations: include an
=sign, e.g.2x + 3 = 11orx^2 - 5x + 6 = 0. - Arithmetic: just type the expression, e.g.
12 * (3 + 4) - 5. - Calculus: use the Derivative or Integral tab, e.g.
x^3 + 2x. - Algebra: use Simplify, Expand or Factor, e.g.
(x+2)(x-3).
What makes this different
For linear and quadratic equations, the solver doesn't just give the answer — it shows the full working: rearranging terms, finding the discriminant, applying the quadratic formula, and computing each root, exactly like a worked example in a textbook.

Yes, completely free and private — all the maths happens in your browser, nothing is uploaded.
Can it solve any level?
It handles school and college arithmetic, algebra and calculus. Very advanced topics and plain-English word problems are best handled by an AI solver, which we plan to add as an option.
